Over the weekend, a part of my tv family lost a coworker and a friend. Tonight we gathered outside the funeral home after the service in small circles, sharing stories, catching up and remembering this extraordinary man that we won’t see again. At least not in this life, anyway.
I’d forgotten how much it means to be a part of this group; to share space with them – to breathe the same air. Most of me I had not seen in eight years or so. Many I keep up with on Facebook and that is fun, but seeing them in person and hugging their necks as we express joy in seeing each other again… That is something completely different.
I’ll do my best to make sure the next span of time is not nearly as long.
