Frozen Pipes & After Effects

We awoke to a frozen cold water pipe in the kitchen this morning despite letting the water drip overnight. After realizing that we wouldn’t be making it to church, I sent off a text message notifying people and got to doing my best MacGyver to get the water flowing and prevent the outside faucets from freezing to bursting.

I’ve been spending a little time in After Effects this week, so I took the free morning to create a quick spec piece for a church series. I’m not quite finished with it yet, but I’m fairly happy with what I came up with given the time spent.

Everyone fell asleep while I was working on everything, so I ended up running out to grab takeout for lunch. I placed my order and the guy behind the counter said, “I should have your name down by now” which was kind of a nice Cheers moment, but unexpected because we haven’t been there much lately.

“My manager says, ‘smiling faces bring customers back’.” and I had to agree.
